The resin figure depicts a member of the German ground personnel from the bomber units of the First World War in 1:32 scale. The set from Copper State Models belongs to the range of figures for period aviation scenes and is supplied as a resin kit for experienced modelers. The figure is conceived as an accessory for large biplane bombers.
The ground personnel, that is the mechanics, armorers and airfield staff, made up the indispensable back-up of the German bomber force. Without these people the heavy machines never got into the air: they looked after the engines, the refueling and the preparation and loading of the bombs. The figure captures a typical period uniform and a working stance by an aircraft.
First wash the parts to remove any release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand with respiratory protection. For a realistic look it helps to lay down a base coat (a primer), to shade the tones of the uniform and to use fine washes to bring out the folds of the cloth and the leather items.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
