AML paint masks 1:32 for the Bf 109 E in the Spanish Civil War. A set for spraying the schemes of the early Emils deployed in Spain at the close of the conflict.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of paint masks from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:32 scale aimed at the early Messerschmitt Bf 109 E aircraft that reached Spain in the closing phase of the civil war in 1939. It was in Spain that the Bf 109 type had its combat debut, and the experience gained there shaped the tactics of the Luftwaffe fighter force at the start of the Second World War.
The schemes of this period are marked out by simple areas with hard-edged transitions, exactly the case where a paint mask saves hours of work with adhesive tape and brings a markedly cleaner result. Spraying through a mask gives straight, repeatable lines on the fuselage and the wings and the same run of the scheme on both sides of the model.
Let the base coat dry thoroughly and free it of dust and grease before the masks go on. Press the edges of the masks down with a soft squeegee or a round-tipped toothpick, and spray thin coats square to the surface. On larger fields work from the edge towar the center so that the paint does not build up at the mask. Treat the historical subject factually, as documentation of the aircraft of this period is readily available in the literature.
A modeling accessory; the set does not contain the aircraft kit, paints or glue.
