This is an accessory, not a kit of the aircraft. The set contains wheels cast in resin with tires shaped with the settling where they touch the ground. The manufacturer describes it as universal and, according to the name, it can be used on the MiG-9 as well as on the early MiG-15. The manufacturer is Armory. The MiG-9 belonged to the first generation of Soviet jet aircraft and the MiG-15 followed on from it in design terms. The early machines of both types had landing gear of a similar form, which allowed the manufacturer to cover them with a single set. For a modeler this means that the set also suits anyone building both types side by side who wants the landing gear handled consistently. Even so, check against your references which particular form you are building, as the wheels differed on the later versions.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry completely. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw rather than with pressure from a knife, so that the casting does not crack. Level the surface left by the cut on sanding paper laid on a flat board and keep trying how the wheel seats on the landing gear leg. It is glued with cyanoacrylate, which you should apply in a small amount, as an excess will run into the relief of the hub and flood it. Turn the settled part of the tire exactly downwards. Apply a thin primer before painting, as paint adheres poorly to bare resin.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
