This is a resin airfield accessory, not an airplane model. The set represents a navy wheel chock of the NWC-4/5 type in the early production form. The chock is placed under an aircraft wheel to keep the aircraft from moving on its own on deck or on the apron. The accessory is intended for dioramas and models in 1:32 scale.
NWC-4/5 chocks are part of the standard ground equipment of US naval aviation. They are placed in front of and behind the landing gear wheels and hold a parked aircraft in place, above all on a pitching carrier deck. Early and late production differed in form, which is why the manufacturer offers both variants. On a diorama they create a faithful airfield setting.
Wash the parts to remove any release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The chocks come out well when painted and then given edge highlights, scuffing and a light patina that captures wear in service.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone aircraft kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
