Eduard 1:32 P-40N exterior is a photo-etched set for refining the outer details of a model of the Curtiss P-40N Warhawk fighter. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard meant for detailing the outer surface of a model of the Curtiss P-40N fighter in 1:32 scale. The thin metal parts replace and supplement the features on the surface of the airframe that injection-molded plastic cannot capture finely enough. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit.
The set refines the exterior of a model, for example fine sheet metal covers, grilles, hatches, linkages and other small outer features. The result is a truer and more three-dimensional surface, which stands out on a finished model after painting and weathering.
The Curtiss P-40N Warhawk was one of the last and lightened production versions of the American P-40 fighter of the Second World War. The single-engine all-metal aircraft was deployed on a number of fronts and became famed among other things for the shark mouth painted on its nose.
Separate the parts carefully with a sharp blade, form the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a glue for etching. Degrease the surface before gluing, and once a base coat has been applied paint the parts together with the model.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
