This set from the Czech maker Eduard holds photo-etched parts of thin sheet for detailing the gun bay in the wing of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory for the base plastic model.
The photo-etched parts replace the simplified plastic features in the area where the wing machine guns are housed. They add stiffeners, panels, closures and other fine details that make a faithful open presentation of the gun bay possible.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade or an etching saw, make the bends over a metal bending tool and glue with super glue or epoxy. Degrease the sheet before painting and work with tweezers in good light.
This is an add-on set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
