What turnbuckles are for

Turnbuckles are the small fittings with which the bracing wires between the wings and the fuselage were tensioned on a real aircraft. On a model of a braced machine it is precisely such small things that decide whether the bracing looks like a tensioned cable with real fittings or merely like a thread glued between two points. In 1:32 scale they are readily apparent on a finished model.

What the set contains

Building and painting tips

Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off carefully. They are glued with a minute amount of cyanoacrylate glue. Fit them onto a painted surface, so that finished bracing does not have to be varnished over again.
