HGW – a Super Detail Set for the Roland D.VIa/b in 1:32 scale. A comprehensive set of brass photo-etched parts for thorough detailing of the German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An extensive aftermarket set of brass photo-etched parts from HGW for the plastic model of the German fighter L.F.G. Roland D.VI in 1:32 scale. The designation D.VIa/b means that the set covers both production versions. It is not an airplane model but a comprehensive accessory that joins details of the interior as well as the exterior into one package.
The Roland D.VI was a single-seat fighter with a fuselage built using the Klinkerrumpf technique of overlapping spruce strips. The D.VIa version was powered by a Mercedes inline engine, and the more powerful D.VIb by the Benz Bz.IIIa engine. The aircraft served with the German air service (Luftstreitkräfte) at the end of the First World War.
Separate the parts carefully, bend them along the scored engravings and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. A more extensive set is best built up section by section, painting the individual elements before they are fitted.
The aircraft kit itself is not included in the package. Glue, paints and tools are not enclosed.
