Barrel fairings for the Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk.IXe in 1:32 scale — a small resin detail from the Czech manufacturer AML that sharpens the wing of your model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small resin accessory from the Czech manufacturer AML for a model of the Spitfire LF Mk.IXe in 1:32 scale: a set of barrel fairings in the version without the guns themselves. This is not a stand-alone model but a detail that sharpens the leading edge of the wing.
The low-altitude LF Mk.IXe version carried the type E wing with two 20 mm Hispano cannons and two 12.7 mm machine guns. The set captures the barrel fairings in the state without protruding armament, an appearance matching aircraft with the armament covered or removed, as period photographs taken on the ramp show them. On a model it is a small thing, yet it changes the character of the whole leading edge.
Separate the small castings from the casting blocks carefully with a razor saw, and rather leave a margin that you then sand down. Wash the parts in soapy water before painting and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. With parts as small as these it pays to work over a light surface, and to apply any extra drop of glue with a pin rather than straight from the tube.
This is an accessory; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
