1:32 Soviet Pilot with ej. seat for Su-25 is a resin figure of a Soviet pilot together with an ejection seat for the Su-25 in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set from the Aerobonus figure range of the Aires brand: a pilot figure in 1:32 scale completed with an ejection seat of the type matching the Su-25 attack aircraft. It is not a kit of the aircraft: it is an accessory intended for the cockpit of a finished model or for a display scene with the seat shown on its own. The number of parts and the exact contents of the package are stated on the box.
The combination of a figure and a seat has the advantage that both parts are designed for each other: the figure is cast in a seated pose, with the legs bent and the arms in a position that matches settling into the shell. That is exactly why with such a set it pays to dry-fit the seat and the figure together before you reach for the glue, as the position is hard to correct once they are painted. Resin in this scale renders the straps, buckles and upholstery crisply; the casting gates are usually placed on surfaces that are not visible once it is seated in the cockpit.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, otherwise the paint will not hold on mold release agent residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw; sanding is done wet and with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the seat and the figure separately and join them only at the end, otherwise you will not reach the straps and the sides of the shell. A darker base coat, a light wash into the recesses and a restrained dry brush on the edges suit the shell and the harness; work the skin from a base tone through shadow in the recesses to a careful lightening of the raised areas.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
