An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish PZL P.11c high-wing monoplane in 1:72 scale from IBG models. The model is built from plastic parts, glued and painted. IBG have worked this type up well, with fine engraving and clear parts for the cockpit.
The PZL P.11c was a Polish all-metal high-wing fighter with the characteristic kinked gull wing. In its day (the first half of the 1930s) it was among the best, but by September 1939 it was facing more modern German machines. Even so it formed the backbone of the Polish fighter force in the defensive fighting, and its pilots scored a number of victories. It remains one of the best known symbols of the Polish campaign of 1939.
Use liquid cement for plastic and take care over the correct seating of the struts and of the gull wing during the build. Paint the cockpit and the interior before closing up the fuselage. A primer, an airbrush and light washes are recommended; the characteristic Polish camouflage shade comes out best with final weathering and accentuated panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
