A resin set of landing gear wheels from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for a model of the Douglas Boston III / DB-7B light bomber in 1:48 scale. The precisely cast wheels with a faithful tire tread pattern and hub detail replace the plastic parts from the box and usually come with masks that make painting the tire and the hub easy.
The Douglas Boston III (the export DB-7B) was a twin-engine light bomber and attack aircraft used by the Allies in the Second World War. It came from the A-20 Havoc family and proved itself in daylight attacks at low level and as a platform for night operations.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up; they are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the wheels separately, and use the mask supplied to divide the tire from the hub. A slight flattening where the wheel meets the ground looks realistic.
