The Su-27 is a large twin-engined fighter and its landing gear carries a considerable weight. The wheel of the real machine is therefore noticeably pressed in where it meets the ground. A model standing on perfectly round tires looks as if it were hovering just above its base, and in 1:32 scale that is clearly visible. A resin casting moreover holds crisper definition of the hub and of the tread pattern, which an injection mold only suggests.
Wash the mold release agent off the castings in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surface left by the cut on sanding paper on a flat board. Before gluing, fit the wheel dry onto the landing gear leg and turn it so that the flat settled part faces exactly down toward the base. Then stand the model on glass and check that it stands without rocking. Only then glue it with cyanoacrylate, as putting it right once dry is unpleasant. Apply the paint in thin coats so that the relief is not lost.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
