1:32 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb — Czechoslovak pilots of No. 65 Squadron, RAF is an AML decal sheet for a model of the Spitfire fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but markings for finishing one.

This is a decal sheet, that is, an accessory for a kit you have already bought, not a model of the aircraft. The Czech manufacturer AML prepared it for models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter in 1:32 scale and gave it a theme of the Czechoslovak pilots who flew with No. 65 Squadron, RAF. The large 1:32 scale places high demands on decals — the printing screen and the registration show far more clearly on large areas than in small scales, so sheets of this kind are printed at a fine resolution and on a thin carrier film.
The Spitfire Mk.V was the most numerous version of the Spitfire built, and in 1941 and 1942 it formed the backbone of RAF Fighter Command. It was powered by the liquid-cooled Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 series V12. The letter b in the Mk.Vb designation stands for the type of wing armed with a pair of 20 mm Hispano cannons supported by four 7.7 mm machine guns. No. 65 Squadron, RAF was a fighter unit operating Spitfires; a number of Czechoslovak airmen served in the Royal Air Force in the Second World War, both in the separate Czechoslovak squadrons and dispersed among British units.
Always apply decals to a gloss surface — a matte finish holds air bubbles under the film and the typical silvering veil appears. Cut the individual designs out as close to the printing as possible, so that a minimum of clear carrier film is left. Let them soften in warm water only up to the moment they can be moved, and transfer them to the model together with a drop of water in which they position well. On large roundels and bands a decal softener helps: the film shapes itself into the engraved lines and the rivets. Once it is dry, varnish the surface and only then apply the final degree of sheen.
