The 90 mm M-36 barrel with a cylindrical muzzle brake and a mantlet cover for the M47 Patton, 1:35 (Aber) is a turned metal replacement for the tank's gun barrel.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail set from the Polish maker Aber in 1:35 scale brings a precisely turned metal barrel for the 90 mm M-36 tank gun with its characteristic cylindrical muzzle brake and a mantlet cover. It is intended for models of the American M47 Patton medium tank. It is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right.
A turned metal gun barrel is perfectly straight and circular, with a crisp bore and a faithful muzzle brake, which a multi-part plastic barrel can hardly achieve. The M47 Patton was an American postwar medium tank with a 90 mm gun, used by a number of armies; an accurate barrel gives a model credibility.
Deburr the metal parts and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Wash the mold release agent off the mantlet cover (if it is resin) and cut it off the casting block. Degrease the surface before painting; metal appreciates a thin coat of paint, a fine wash and dry dust shades.
This is a detail add-on set, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
