The 1:35 wheel masking set for the Adler Kfz. 13 and 14 armored car separates the tire from the rim with a precise cutout. The set is cut for the kit from Bronco.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of the vehicle but a masking accessory. The masks mark out the border between tire and rim that you would otherwise line by hand. The cutouts match the wheels from the 1:35 scale Adler Kfz. 13 and 14 armored car kit by Bronco.
Masks are transferred with tweezers, and the tweezers are exactly what tends to cause the small damage a modeler only notices on the finished wheel. The first kind is a mark in the mask itself: sharp tips bend the edge of the cutout, it then fails to seat all the way around, and the paint bleeds under precisely there. The answer is to take the mask by the outer edge of the sheet rather than by the ring itself, and to use tweezers with flat polished tips. The second kind is a mark in the base coat, made when you handle a masked wheel before the film has cured — a groove or a dent stays behind in soft paint. If that happens, wait for it to cure completely, sand the spot very gently with a high grit and respray a thin coat; polishing the groove on its own is pointless, because it only deepens the difference in sheen. Prevention is best, though: spike the wheel on a toothpick or put it in a holder, never touch it with tweezers while painting, and pick the mask up only at the moment you want to take it off.
The base has to be smooth and degreased. Spray thin coats square from above. Remove the mask by pulling it across the edge, and use a wooden toothpick in preference to a metal point.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. Paints, thinner and the target kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
