A resin set of figures from the range of the Spanish brand MIG productions. It is not a vehicle kit but an accessory meant to populate a finished armored vehicle or a diorama in 1:35 scale. The subjects are tank crewmen of the Middle Eastern armies in one-piece coveralls and with soft padded tank crew helmets, that is in equipment derived from the Soviet pattern. The castings have the folds of the cloth, the footwear and the details of the equipment worked out.
A tank model without a crew reads as an exhibit; but a figure in a hatch or a small group by the track is enough to turn the model into a scene. Compared with a single figure, a set has the further advantage that the figures are designed as a whole and can be put together into a natural composition: one at the hatch, another on the hull, a third beside the vehicle. It comes into its own with armored vehicles of Soviet design supplied to the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, that is the T-54 and T-55, T-62 or T-72 families, and with repair and supply settings.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release agent disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the surfaces and protect your airways while sanding resin. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and the gaps at the shoulders and the neck should be filled with modeling putty. Apply a primer before painting. Before you glue the figures onto the model, always try them dry in the hatch so that they sit in the opening. With the coveralls it pays to keep slightly different shades for each figure, so that the group does not look like clones, and to add the dust and the greasy smears that go with working around equipment.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
