MAiM Arabic Woman with Boy is a pair of civilian figures in 1:35 scale, civilian staffage that gives modern dioramas a human dimension and the scale of everyday life.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pair of unpainted civilian figures from the manufacturer MAiM in 1:35 scale: an adult woman and a boy. Civilians are often what sets a picture with vehicles apart from a real story in a diorama, and a pair of a woman with a child naturally draws the viewer's eye and gives a scene a human scale.
The figures suit modern urban and rural subjects: a street, a market, a yard, scenes from areas of contemporary conflict and ordinary civilian life. Their size matches the usual run of figures and vehicles in 1:35 scale, so you can easily combine them with the vehicles, buildings and other figures of your collection. The pair also works on its own on a small vignette.
First deburr the castings, wash off any mold release residue and give them a coat of primer. Skin comes out well painted in acrylic with fine glazes or in oil paints; on the clothing, work with shadow in the folds of the cloth and highlights on the raised areas. Muted earthy tones of clothing let the faces stand out, the natural focal point of every figure.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted as castings to be cleaned up and painted. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
