A photo-etched metal detail set from Aber in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Aufklärungspanzer 38 (2 cm) reconnaissance tank, designation Sd.Kfz. 140/1. It adds fine metal exterior elements that plastic parts cannot capture fully.
The Aufklärungspanzer 38 (2 cm) was a German reconnaissance tank built on the proven Panzer 38(t) chassis. It carried an open turret with a 2 cm rapid-fire cannon and served for reconnaissance and for escorting armored units in the late phase of the war. Thanks to the dependable 38(t) chassis it was mobile and nimble across country.
Break the photo-etched parts carefully out of the fret with a sharp blade and dress the edges. Make the bends along the etched score lines using a bending tool or two rules; thicker parts can be briefly annealed to make forming easier. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or two-part epoxy. Lay a primer on the metal before painting, or the paint will not hold well.
