A battered garbage bin in 1:35 scale from MAiM brings a piece of everyday life into a diorama: crumpled sheet metal that tells of a forgotten backyard better than a long caption.

A diorama prop in 1:35 scale: a garbage bin that comes from the factory with a deliberately battered, crumpled look. It is exactly such ordinary objects that make a scene believable, because the viewer knows them from everyday life and reads the setting from them subconsciously. It is supplied as an unpainted casting to be cleaned up and painted.
Stand it in the passage of a tenement house, at the back door of a pub, on a street corner next to a hydrant or in a post-apocalyptic scene where survivors rummage around it. The crumpled body suggests that life has gone past here for a long time and without much care. The bin is also a practical compositional tool, because it fills an empty corner, creates cover for a figure or a step up for a curious cat. In scale it sits well with vehicles and figures in 1:35.
A battered surface is made for chipping techniques: a basic sheet metal shade, scuffs laid on with a sponge, rust washes in the hollows and the dents. Darken the inner rim of the lid and the edges, the places where sheet metal wears most. Dust and dirt at the bottom will settle the bin into its base; anyone who wants to go further can add small scattered litter from their own supplies around it.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
