The real subject

The MP 40 was a German 9 mm submachine gun that during the Second World War spread to the infantry, to paratroops and to vehicle crews. Its recognition features are the straight magazine inserted vertically downward ahead of the trigger and the folding shoulder stock. It is precisely these small items that often merge on figures, because they are cast together with the figure.

What the set contains

Building and painting tips

The parts are not polystyrene; ordinary plastic cement will not join them, so use cyanoacrylate glue in a minute amount. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder back; with parts as small as these, work over a tray with a raised edge, otherwise the offcut will get lost. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and degrease them. Paint over a primer coat, then bring the dark metallic shade to life with a dry brush along the edges, so that the shape of the part is legible.
