1:35 Christian Pictures is a printed paper sheet with religious pictures for dioramas in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit and not a waterslide decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet from ETA diorama holds printed designs of Christian pictures meant to be cut out and glued into scenes in 1:35 scale. It is a paper accessory, not a model and not a waterslide decal. In dioramas it is used as ordinary furnishing for period interiors, where pictures like these were part of the basic equipment of homes, hospices, schools or chapels.
Most often on the wall of a living room, above a door, in a corner with furniture, inside a chapel or a cemetery shrine, or as a small picture on a side table or in a chest. In a scene they have a practical function: they fill an empty area of wall, give the room scale and hint that the space was lived in. They also work in ruins, where a single crooked frame is left hanging — the contrast between an untouched detail and damaged surroundings is often a stronger element of the composition than another figure.
Cut with a sharp blade against a metal ruler and leave the smallest possible white margin; darken the cut edge with a pencil or a thin stroke of paint. Glue it with a thin layer of PVA or matte paper glue brushed onto the surface. A frame can be suggested with a strip of thin plastic or painted paper; for a gilded frame a thin line of metallic paint is enough. Then age the paper — a faint ocher tint, a weak wash into the corners, perhaps a slight waviness — and seal it all with matte varnish. If the picture is to hang crooked, glue it at one point only and pack out the lower edge with a scrap of paper.
This is a printed paper accessory for a diorama. Glue, paints, a model and figures are not included in the package.
