Fenders for Shermans with HVSS suspension is an Aber photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory with a true sheet thickness.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched brass detail set from the Polish brand Aber in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but a set of thin metal fenders with which you replace the coarser plastic parts on a model of the American Sherman medium tank in its late versions with HVSS, the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension, and wide tracks. Metal makes it possible to render the thin sheet and its typical damage faithfully.
Late Shermans with HVSS had wider fenders to match the wide tracks. Plastic parts tend to be needlessly thick; the photo-etched Aber fenders respect their thinness and can be realistically curved, bent or partly broken off as on vehicles from the front line. The package usually also holds the brackets and the stiffeners.
Cut the parts out with a sharp knife, shape them on a bending tool or along a razor blade and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); they can also be soldered. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. For a combat vehicle, bend the fenders slightly and leave some of them off.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
