A plastic kit of the German Flakpanzer 38(t) anti-aircraft tank on the Ausf. M chassis in the Late Production configuration in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The model offers fine detail, the folding armor sides of the fighting compartment and the barrel of the anti-aircraft gun, which can be shown at several elevations. The package contains photo-etched sheet and a decal sheet for several markings.
The Flakpanzer 38(t) was built on the proven Czechoslovak 38(t) chassis in the Ausf. M version, with the engine in the middle and the fighting compartment at the rear. Its armament was a single 2 cm FlaK 38 anti-aircraft gun with folding armor sides that were dropped down when firing. Only a few hundred vehicles were built and they served to protect units against low-flying aircraft in the closing stage of the war.
Decide whether you will show the sides folded down or raised, because that affects the view into the fighting compartment. Assemble the running gear before closing the hull, and use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. The open superstructure and the gun are rewarding for washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
