A sheet of self-adhesive masks cut to the shape of the wheels of the 7.62 cm gun. It is not a model or an extra part — the set serves to keep the rubber tire band separated from the rim while spraying. The cut matches the wheels from the kit by Bronco.
The wheels of an artillery carriage are small and their edges narrow. That is where the chief mistake of masked spraying shows up most often: too much paint at once. A rich coat gathers under the edge of the mask into a ridge, which is left as a palpable step once the film comes off, and in 1:35 scale a step like that on a thin edge is optically several millimeters wide. The second consequence is a flooded relief — on a rim with lightening holes or rivets the detail is simply lost under two heavy coats. The answer is simple and costs nothing: lower pressure, greater distance, thin passes and a moment between them to flash off. The coverage comes of its own accord, just one coat later.
The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and thinners are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
