A basic photo-etched set in 1:35 scale for the German half-track vehicle Nebelkraftwagen Sd.Kfz. 11/4. It is neither a vehicle model nor a complete kit, but a collection of fine photo-etched metal parts that replace and refine the details of the plastic base model. The basic set (vol. 1) usually brings the most visible external features: meshes, brackets, fenders, hinges and small metal fittings on the hull.
The Sd.Kfz. 11 was a German three-ton half-track tractor of the Second World War. The /4 Nebelkraftwagen version served to supply chemical troops and rocket launcher units with ammunition and equipment. The vehicle combined a wheeled front axle with a tracked rear, which gave it good going across country.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and make the bends on a sheet bending tool for accurate edges. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the surface before painting and apply a primer; build up the weathering with a wash and pigments, which bring out the fine photo-etched structures.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
