An Aber photo-etched detail set - vol. 2, fenders for the German 12.8 cm Sf. L/61 Sturer Emil tank destroyer in 1:35 scale replaces the plastic fenders with a fine metal version.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a vehicle model but an add-on set of photo-etched brass parts from the Polish company Aber. The vol. 2 set is focused on the fenders and their mounts for models of the German 12.8 cm Selbstfahrlafette L/61 Sturer Emil heavy tank destroyer. It follows on from the basic set and adds fine metal features.
The Sturer Emil was an experimental German heavy tank destroyer of the Second World War with a powerful 128 mm L/61 gun. Only two prototypes were built, and they were fielded on the Eastern Front. The wide fenders over the tracks are among its striking features.
The fenders are cut from the fret, cleaned up and bent evenly along the scored lines; a photo-etch bending tool helps. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal before painting and prime it with a primer for metal.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
