The subject is a general of the Greater Poland Forces in the uniform of 1919. The senior officer's uniform of the turn between the First World War and the interwar period joins an older cut of tunic with newer items of gear: a strap over the shoulder, high boots and headgear with rank insignia. The figure works above all as a striking presence in a quiet scene, at a parade, at a headquarters or beside a period vehicle.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the mating surfaces and protect your airways when sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After a thin primer, paint the uniform with acrylics and fine-tune the folds with oil paints; on a formal uniform a smoother, less soiled surface looks better. Paint the straps and the boots separately in darker shades with a hint of sheen. Finish the rank insignia and the buttons with a fine brush rather than a dry brush over the whole surface.
