Grilles for the German Tiger I tank in 1:35 (Aber) are a photo-etched metal detail set, not a kit. They replace the solid plastic grilles over the engine compartment with faithful pierced metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched metal set is a detail accessory that is not a model in its own right. It holds fine grilles over the cooling vents and the exhaust area of the engine compartment, intended for models of the German heavy tank Tiger I in 1:35 scale. It replaces the solid plastic covers with pierced metal mesh that you can see through into the inside.
The grilles of the engine compartment are among the most conspicuous details on the upper plate of a tank. Plastic is necessarily solid and flat, whereas the photo-etched version is see-through and fine, so it raises the realism of the engine roof fundamentally. A suggestion of radiators and screens is often placed under the grilles.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and, where needed, shape them gently to the form of the cover. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a base coat for metal; a dark wash and a fine dusting with pigments suit the grilles.
This is a metal detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
