This product is a set of turned metal barrels from FineMolds in 1:35 scale, meant to improve a plastic model of the Japanese Type 5 medium tank. The set holds a barrel for the 75 mm main gun and a barrel for the 37 mm secondary weapon. It is not a vehicle kit but a set of accurate accessories for a finished model.
Turned metal barrels have a perfectly round section and sharp muzzles, which makes them look more faithful than barrels molded in two halves. There is no gluing of halves and no seam to clean up. The barrels are glued into the place of the original plastic parts, ideally with super glue.
The Type 5 was an advanced Japanese medium tank of the late Second World War. It stayed largely at the development and prototype stage, yet it is among the interesting subjects that collectors seek out.
This is a set of barrels, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
