This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds represents the Japanese HMV (High Mobility Vehicle) in 1:35 scale. The model is armed with a machine gun and two figures are enclosed in the package. A small photo-etched part, a headlight guard, is usually included as well. The model is meant to be assembled and painted by the builder.
The HMV is a four-wheeled high mobility utility vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), taken into service in the 1990s. It stands out for excellent going across country, great ground clearance and a small turning radius, and it serves above all to carry an infantry squad and as a weapons carrier.
Paint the interior and the chassis before closing the body. Bend the photo-etched headlight guard carefully and glue it on with super glue. Assemble and paint the figures separately. An olive or a multi-color finish is typical and it comes into its own with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
