This injection-molded plastic kit from the Dragon brand captures the Soviet heavy tank JS-2m in the UZTM production arrangement, in the form committed by Chinese volunteers during the Korean War, in 1:35 scale. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted set of plastic parts with a decal sheet. The tracks are done by the link-and-length method, and both turret hatches can be built open and have inner detail.
The JS-2 (Iosif Stalin) was a massive Soviet heavy tank with a powerful gun of large caliber, which made its mark in the closing stage of the Second World War. The JS-2m version brought a number of modifications and, with a cast hull from UZTM production, served after the war as well. Chinese volunteers committed these tanks during the Korean War.
Assemble the running gear and the hull first, and prepare the tracks built by the link-and-length method in sections. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. You can leave the turret hatches open and show the inner detail; for the patina make use of washes and pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
