Aerobonus 1:35 Kriegsmarine WWII Officer for German schnellboats is an unpainted resin figure of a German naval officer of the Second World War period in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A stand-alone figure of cast resin in 1:35 scale from the Aerobonus brand, which is made by the Czech company Aires. It represents a German naval officer of the Second World War period in ordinary deck dress. It is conceived as crew for models of fast attack craft, human torpedoes and midget submarines in this scale. The casting is supplied unpainted and serves as an accessory to a model or to a diorama.
The package contains one figure. Figures in this line tend to be split into torso, head and arms, but you will find the exact division of the parts only in the package. Models of small vessels in 1:35 scale have a fairly large open deck and without crew they look empty and without scale; one or two figures settle the scene at once and give the viewer a sense of the real size of the craft. From a modeling point of view what is interesting on the figure are the folds of the coat, the cap and the small items of gear, which carry most of the work with shading.
Wash the casting in warm water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the seams wet and with your airways protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and the joints are filled. Spray on a primer. Dark naval dress is harder to paint than light dress: it pays to start a shade lighter than the target color, to shade the recesses with a dark glaze and instead to lighten the edges gently, otherwise the figure merges into a single silhouette. Do the face last with the finest brush. For a figure on deck a matte varnish suits, along with a discreet hint of salt and damp only in the places where it makes sense.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the model of the vessel are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
