1:35 M1897 75mm Field Gun (French 75 in US Service) is a plastic kit of the famous French 75 mm gun in American service from IBG Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the 75 mm field gun, one of the most famous artillery systems in history, in the form used by the US Army. The kit is made by the Polish firm IBG Models.
At the end of the 19th century the French gun of 1897 meant a revolution in artillery: thanks to a hydropneumatic recoil brake the carriage stayed in place when the gun fired, which allowed a rate of fire never seen before. During the First World War it became a legend known simply as the French 75, and after entering the war the US Army adopted it as its standard field gun under the designation M1897. In American service it lasted through the interwar period as well, and a number of examples still saw action at the start of the Second World War.
With artillery models, take care over a clean assembly of the carriage and the wheels - they make up most of the model's silhouette. Align the barrel with the axis of the carriage and sand the joints with fine abrasive paper. Paint over primer; a plain surface is brought to life by light post-shading, washes in the corners of the carriage and dust pigments on the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
