Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale depicting a soldier in winter overalls from the period of 1943 to 1946, when the fighting ran across the Middle East and Italy. It is a stand-alone figural casting, not a kit of a piece of equipment. It is supplied unpainted and needs cleaning up and assembly before painting.
Winter overalls are a one-piece outer garment worn over the uniform that protected against cold and damp in mountain and night conditions. In the Italian Apennines in particular the winters could be harsh, and units there routinely used warm outer clothing, which differs clearly in silhouette from an ordinary tunic. The looser cut with pronounced folds is rewarding for the modeler, as shading and a dry brush show up well on it. The figure suits mountain and winter scenes as well as a place beside period vehicles.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. After the primer, start with a muted base tone for the overalls, put a dark wash into the folds and highlight the edges gently. Weather the boots and the lower trouser legs with pigments to match the ground the figure will stand on, as mud and dust lend the scene credibility. Paint the face separately before gluing.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
