Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic figure set from Dragon in 1:35 scale presents American special forces operators from the fighting in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993. The figures are modeled in dynamic combat poses with modern tactical gear and infantry weapons. It is an injection-molded plastic kit meant to be glued and painted; the set suits an urban diorama scene and standing on its own alike.
In October 1993 American special forces clashed in the streets of Mogadishu during an operation that later became widely known through a book and a film about the shooting down of the Black Hawk helicopters. The operators carried light tactical gear suited to street fighting in a hot climate, with helmets, vests and modern rifles. The set captures exactly this action in the built-up area of a large city.
Cut the parts from the sprue, clean up the parting lines and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Treat the uniforms in desert and khaki tones and bring out the vest and gear with a dry brush and a fine wash. Work the faces and hands with glazes. Dust weathering to match a parched urban setting suits the scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
