A diorama accessory in 1:35 scale: a model of a hard transport case for a laptop, the kind used by modern units for moving sensitive equipment. The designation PELICAN D630 in the name refers to a particular type of case, so what it looks like in reality can be looked up. It suits a scene precisely because it is an everyday, unobtrusive object that gives a view its present-day setting more reliably than another weapon would.
It finds a use at command posts, signals vehicles, checkpoints and anywhere equipment is being worked with: on the bed of a vehicle, on a folding table, leaning against a crate or in the hands of a figure. It also works well as an item that carries the gaze across a scene, because the smooth face of the case contrasts with the uneven ground and the kit around it. Inside a vehicle it serves to fill an empty corner.
Before placing it in a scene, try the part dry and find it a spot where it will be seen. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down. Wash and degrease the part before painting and lay down a primer. The smooth faces of the case come out well when a lighter shade is rubbed into the edges and a thin layer of dust onto the walls.
