Portable medical chests serve today's armies for moving and storing medical supplies. They are tough shell-type cases with clasps, handles and a seal that stand up to transport and to life in the field. They are to be seen at casualty collection points, in the cargo compartments of ambulances, on the beds of trucks and simply piled up beside a tent. The designation MEDCHEST4 belongs to one such case.
A vehicle model on its own holds up in a display case, but a scene only begins to tell a story once it is clear what the crew is carrying and doing. A medical chest is a rewarding item for that: it has a readable shape, an unambiguous function and you recognize it at first glance. It suits ambulances as well as ordinary trucks, figures and the inside of a tent. In 1:35 scale it comes out big enough for the viewer to notice it.
Look for the specific instructions in the manufacturer's guide. In general, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down carefully, so that the edges and the fine detail are preserved. Wash and degrease the part before painting, otherwise the paint will hold poorly. A primer coat will then show up anything unfinished before you move on to the final shades and markings.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The vehicle model, figures, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
