The sheet from ETA diorama is printed paper for scenes in 1:35 scale, not a kit and not a decal. It combines the area of a notice board with the small papers that belong on it. A notice board is a rewarding element, because it fills an empty wall, tells the viewer what type of room it is and at the same time is quick to work with.
The simplest route is to glue the whole motif down in one piece. A substantially better result, though, comes from layering: glue the board itself onto thin card or a plastic plate, so that it gains thickness and a shadow, and only then glue the individual documents onto it separately. That creates small offsets, the papers can partly overlap and one corner can lift away. This very untidiness looks genuine in a display case, while a perfectly aligned surface gives away that it is printing.
Cut with a new blade along a metal rule on a cutting mat. It is a good idea to darken the white cut edges with a marker or a colored pencil, because with paper a light strip shows otherwise. Glue the board with a matte glue for paper or a thin layer of PVA glue, and apply the small papers one drop at a time with a toothpick while holding them with tweezers. Flatten the finished notice board with clear coat and patinate it lightly: a very thin wash into the corners, a hint of dust with dry pastel and, if you like, a yellowed look to the paper from a thin layer of an ocher filter. In a finished scene the notice board works well together with figures – a figure standing in front of it reading a notice tells a story at once.
