1:35 Palm leaves – set 2

Photo-etched palm leaves, set 2, 1:35, Aber

This is not a kit but a diorama material from the Polish maker Aber. The set contains photo-etched palm leaves from which you assemble faithful palm crowns. Photo-etched leaves are as thin as real vegetation, so they look far better than thick plastic castings. The set suits above all scenes from North Africa, the Middle East and the tropics.

Use

• shape the leaves into a natural curve and assemble them into a crown
• complete them with a trunk of your own, with wire or with a ready-made palm trunk
• apply a primer before painting, then spray the leaves in shades of green

Who the material is for

• builders of dioramas and vignettes with tropical or desert subjects
• modelers of equipment and of figures who want faithful vegetation
• more experienced modelers used to working with photo-etch

This is a material for making vegetation, not a finished palm. A trunk, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
