A detail set from the Polish company MASTER containing a set of miniature empty 7.92 mm cases in 1:35 scale, 25 pieces in all. The cases are turned from metal, so they have a faithful shape and a metallic sheen that is hard to reach with painted plastic. They match the spent rounds of the German MG-34 and MG-42 machine guns. It is not a model or a weapon but an accessory for finishing off a scene.
Empty cases scattered at a machine gun position, around an embrasure or under a figure tell the story of a scene and add realism to it. Thanks to the metal finish a minimum of painting is enough and the cases look natural.
Cut the cases off the carrier fret and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The metal surface can be left as it is, or toned gently with pigments or a wash for an effect of use and dirt.
This is an accessory for a scene, not a model. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
