The 1:35 Pz III – Dragon/Gunze is a Quickwheel masking set for the road wheels. The timing of the removal of the mask decides how clean an edge stays.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is an accessory for painting, not a kit nor replacement wheels. It sets the boundary on a road wheel between the face of the wheel and the rubber tire and is cut for the kit from the Dragon and Gunze companies. The figure about the target kit is stated because sets for the same vehicle prepared for other kits exist side by side.
The most common mistake is not in the application, but in the waiting. If you let the paint cure completely, it will form a continuous film across the margin of the mask and when lifted a piece of the layer beneath it will tear away too, so that the edge stays frayed. If, on the contrary, you leave it damp, it will smear on contact. The ideal moment is shortly after the surface stops being tacky, but while the layer is not yet hard through. Take the mask off slowly, with a pull at an angle across the edge and at a shallow angle to the surface, never straight upward. The tip of a scalpel helps, with which you lift the margin without touching the paint.
For modelers of the kit mentioned who want their running gear finished without corrections of the boundaries. It pays off for everyone who has so far dealt with tires using a brush and then had to even them up.
Paints, thinners and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
