The set contains brass photo-etched parts for a detailed improvement of the Panzer IV Ausf.D tank in the variant rearmed with the longer 75 mm KwK 40 L/43 gun. It is not a standalone model but an accessory for a plastic kit of that vehicle in 1:35 scale. The photo-etched parts add fine exterior details such as fenders, tool brackets, grilles and other elements.
The Panzer IV was the standard German medium tank of the Second World War. The Ausf.D version was originally armed with a short 75 mm gun, but some of the vehicles were later rearmed with the longer and more powerful KwK 40 L/43, which markedly improved their ability to destroy Allied tanks. The longer barrel gave the vehicle a distinctive silhouette.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and form the bends with a photo-etch bending tool. Use cyanoacrylate glue. Fit the thin fenders and brackets so that they look realistically bent a little. Degrease the brass and apply primer before painting.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
