This is a resin accessory in 1:35 scale, not a model on its own. It offers a precisely cast barrel of the 17-pounder anti-tank gun with a realistically rendered canvas cover at the cradle, intended for a model of the British Achilles tank destroyer.
The Achilles was the British version of the American M10 tank destroyer, rearmed with the powerful 17-pounder gun, 76.2 mm, capable of penetrating the armor of heavy German tanks. The canvas cover around the barrel mounting protected the moving parts against rain, dust and dirt. A cast barrel with no mold seam sharpens the silhouette of the model considerably.
Wash the mold release agent off the part and cut off the casting block. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A metal barrel comes out well with a dark base and polishing, while the canvas cover benefits from glazes and a light highlight of the folds with drybrushing.
The accessory is made of resin and is supplied unpainted and without the base model. Glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
