Injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panther Ausf.A medium tank in its early production version in 1:35 scale from Das Werk. The model offers photo-etched parts, link-and-length tracks for an easier build, a one-piece plastic barrel for the 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 gun and hatches that can be set open or closed. Several marking options are available.
The Panther (Pz.Kpfw. V, Sd.Kfz. 171) was a German medium tank of World War II that combined a powerful long 7.5 cm gun, good mobility and sloped armor. The Ausf.A version was the second variant built in series and removed part of the teething troubles of the previous Ausf.D. Early Ausf.A vehicles had neither Zimmerit nor the later turret changes, which this kit respects.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear, the wheels and the tracks before closing and painting the hull. A primer, an airbrush and one of the German camouflage schemes (the three-color late camouflage, for example) work well. Bring out the details with a wash in the joints and the edges with drybrushing, and weather the chassis and the tracks with dust and mud pigments. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
