1:35 ROCA CM-33 with a remote weapon station is a plastic kit of a Taiwanese eight-wheeled armored vehicle from Freedom Model Kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of an eight-wheeled armored vehicle of the ground forces of the Republic of China in 1:35 scale. The model captures the CM-33 version, that is, the machine intended to carry and support infantry, whose main weapon is housed in a remote weapon station on the roof of the hull.
The Yunpao family of eight-wheeled armored vehicles, the Clouded Leopard, was created in Taiwan as a domestic program for modernizing the wheeled equipment of the ground forces. The vehicles have a welded armored hull and 8x8 all-wheel drive and are conceived for rapid movement over the island's dense road network. The CM-33 version is conceived as an armored personnel carrier: the hull armor protects the crew and the dismounting squad, and the gunner operates the weapon from inside without having to lean out of a hatch. The vehicles of this family differ from each other above all in the weapon section, while the hull and the chassis stay common.
First assemble and clean up the hull, and only then fit the grab handles, headlights, optics and small gear, which would be in the way during sanding. Glue the plastic with thin cement applied by capillary action into the seams, so that the material is not pushed out of the joints. Leave the wheels separate until the end of the build and fit them only after the wheel wells are painted. Apply filler primer before painting, then the base tone with an airbrush, and finally accentuate the edges and hatches. Apply dust and mud on the wheels and the lower part of the hull with pigments and washes sparingly, so that the structure of the armor stays legible.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
