An Aber photo-etched set for the Soviet KV-II heavy tank - vol. 1, basic set (1:35) is a photo-etched metal detail set, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched metal detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale, not a tank model. The basic set (vol. 1) brings fine photo-etched parts that replace the simplified plastic features from the box and raise the fidelity of a KV-II heavy tank build. It serves as the first stage of detailing, which further parts of the range can build on.
The KV-II was a Soviet heavy tank from the start of the Second World War, derived from the KV-I. It carried a tall boxy turret with a 152 mm howitzer and was intended to destroy fortifications and heavy targets. Its silhouette with the tall turret is among the most striking in Soviet equipment of the period.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them on a bending tool or along a ruler. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); degrease the metal and spray it with a coat of primer before painting. Washes and pigments work well for picking out the rivets and plates.
This is a detail accessory, not a tank model. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
