This is a small detail set from the brand Elefant, not a model of a vehicle. It contains towing shackles, that is shackles of the S type, which on German vehicles were fitted into the towing eyes at the front and the rear of the hull and served for attaching a tow cable or bar. The brand distinguishes several shape types of shackle by pattern, and this one is designated as the S type. In plastic kits the shackles tend to be molded in one piece with the eye and with thick walls, so neither the opening through them nor the shape of the pin can be seen. A separate casting allows thinner material and a legible shape. According to the name the package contains eight pieces. Before buying, check that the shape matches the vehicle you are building, because the brand also offers a set for a wider combination of types.
Towing shackles were part of the basic equipment of tracked vehicles. They made it possible to attach a tow cable or bar quickly during recovery and towing, which in the field was an everyday activity. The Pz. III family covered a number of versions and several derived vehicles came about on its chassis, so the small fittings tend to be the same across models. The placing and the number of the eyes did differ between versions, though, so it is worth comparing them with documentation.
Cut the original molded shackles off with a scalpel and sand the area. Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, otherwise paint holds on them less well. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw, as the parts are small and break off easily. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in the smallest possible amount. Once painted, a metallic sheen comes in useful on the bearing surfaces, where the material would be rubbed in service, as does a darker wash in the recesses around the eyes.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
