Eduard 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 166 Brummbär Schürzen is a photo-etched set of side armor skirts for refining a model of the Brummbär assault gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale. It contains the side armor skirts (Schürzen) and their hangers for the German Sd.Kfz. 166 Brummbär assault gun. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory that replaces the thick plastic skirts from the kit with faithfully thin photo-etched parts.
Schürzen were thin side armor skirts mounted on German fighting vehicles on the Panzer IV chassis, including the Brummbär assault gun, as protection against anti-tank rifles and shaped-charge ammunition. Their faithful, thin rendering fundamentally affects the realism of the vehicle's silhouette.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret, shaped with tweezers and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. The skirts can be bent or partly damaged for a combat look. Once painted, realism is added with weathering, dust and worn edges.
This is a photo-etched accessory for refining a model, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
