A set of two precisely turned metal barrels from Aber in 1:35 scale for models of the towed ZPU-2 and ZPU-4 anti-aircraft mounts armed with 14.5 mm KPVT heavy machine guns. It is not a model but a set of replacement parts for a finished kit.
The ZPU-2 and ZPU-4 anti-aircraft mounts combined two or four 14.5 mm KPVT heavy machine guns on a towed carriage and were widely used from the postwar era onward. The perforated cooling jackets of the barrels are fine work and come out far better in metal than in plastic.
Replace the plastic barrels with the metal ones and bond them with super glue. Align the slender barrels so that they point parallel to each other. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a metal primer.
This is a metal accessory set, not the model itself. Fitting requires the matching kit, which is not included in the package.
